Reflections on a journey of change 2022

This Report is a collection of stories provided through an experience-informed lens.

National Report 2022: Reflections on a journey of changeIt assists the Commission to understand the impact of change and reform, linking the experience of the past 10 years with our Vision for the mental health and suicide prevention systems over the next 10 years.

We asked participants three key questions to provide a frame for reflections within the Report. The questions were:

  • What has changed?
  • How has this affected you or the people you represent?
  • What still needs to change?

These reflections occur in the context of Australia continuing to grapple with the impact of conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping daily life.

The Report reflects the Commission’s strategic desire to always include people with lived and living experiences to help shape reform through a people-centric lens. These reflections occur in the context of Australia continuing to grapple with the impact of conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping daily life.
